Andrea Köhler
Andrea Koehler, born in Bad Pyrmont, Germany, is a journalist and the author and editor of several books. She studied literature and philosophy in Braunschweig and Freiburg i.Br. Germany. From 1991 to 1994 she was a cultural correspondent in Paris, France. 1995 she joined the Feuilleton of theSwiss daily newspaper NZZ . From 2001 to 2018 she was the US cultural correspondent for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ). In 2000 she was Visiting Professor at the Washington University of St. Louis. 2003 she got the Berlin Book Critics Prize (Berliner Preis für Literaturkritik). In 2004 she was Recipient of a Max Kade Fellowship and in spring 2017 of a Fellowship at the Bogliasco Foundation in Italy. She is a member of PEN America.
